Frequently Asked Questions
Does QRDoc store my document links?
No. Your link is processed entirely within your browser. It is never sent to any server, logged, or stored anywhere outside your own device memory for the duration of the session.
Which cloud platforms are supported?
Currently QRDoc supports Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive/SharePoint. Additional platforms may be added in future updates.
Why does my QR code say "Expires in 3 months"?
The QR code itself does not expire โ it is simply an image encoding a URL. The expiry reminder refers to the cloud share link it encodes, which your cloud provider may revoke or change. We recommend re-checking your sharing settings periodically.
Can I use QRDoc on a private/intranet document?
QRDoc will generate a QR code for any valid HTTPS share link. However, anyone who scans the QR will still need access permission to the document. QRDoc does not bypass access controls.
Is there a rate limit?
Yes. A client-side rate limit of 3 QR generations per 60 seconds is enforced to prevent misuse. This is entirely local and resets when you close the tab.
Does QRDoc use cookies?
No cookies are set by QRDoc. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Is the source code available?
QRDoc is hosted on GitHub Pages. The source is visible in the repository at github.com/basaritechsolutions/QRDoc.
