Data Retention Policy
Effective date: 25 June 2026
Overview
QRDoc retains no user data. Because all processing is performed locally in your browser, there is no server-side database, log store, or file system containing your information.
In-Session Data
During your session the following are held in browser JavaScript memory only:
- Your selected cloud platform
- The document URL you pasted
- The converted direct link used for QR generation
- Metadata (generated date, expiry reminder)
All of the above are cleared automatically when you: (a) click Reset, (b) close or reload the tab, or (c) navigate away from the page. The application's beforeunload event handler explicitly wipes sensitive state fields.
No Persistent Storage
QRDoc does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent browser storage mechanism.
GitHub Pages Hosting Logs
GitHub Pages may retain server-access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) as part of normal platform operations. These are outside our control. Refer to GitHub's Privacy Statement.
